Tree Planting Project
We recently planted hundreds of trees again. We bought grafted mango trees with different mango varieties in Morogoro. Yes, there are different types of mangoes – just like apples. We were also able to buy soursop, orange, avocados, etc. Each tree was carefully selected and carefully lifted into the car. Trees shouldn't just be turned upside down, they remember that for quite a while and it can confuse them (there are scientific studies on this). With the car full of trees, we started the 3.5 hour journey and it felt like bringing a new baby home from the clinic. Somehow there was excitement in the air. At the farm, the guards were prepared to help with unloading and watering the small trees adequately, immediately after carefully lifting them from the car.
The next day we formed three teams and planted these hundreds of fruit trees "God's way" in three different areas of the farm. Yes, you can make a lot of mistakes when planting trees and we make sure that our trees are planted very well. To us it is also very important which tree is next to which tree. You can learn more about that when enjoying a tour on our farm. So much for today - God was the FIRST who planted trees (this is the first work that God did after the 7th day of rest). We feel "hope, peace and joy“ when we plant trees. On our farm you can see all kinds of trees, fruit trees, wood and fodder-producing trees and trees that are just lovely to look at.
