Hello!
We are Yannik and Amelie, both 19 years old and from Austria. Altogether, we are
spending 10 months here at this project through the organization “Hilfe die ankommt.”
We have already been here since mid-August. Our tasks and areas of work are very
diverse:
I (Yannik) completed five years at a technical high school (HTL) specializing in
computer science and decided rather spontaneously to volunteer abroad – but that
doesn’t make this experience any less important to me. Here, I have the opportunity
to help out in a practical way and to support the project with the skills from my
training.
I am Amelie, and after many conversations and prayers, I decided to come to this
placement. After graduating from the College of Elementary Education (BafEP), I can
now apply and share my knowledge and experience as an early childhood educator
in the Day Care Center. That is also where my main area of responsibility lies, and
where I can put my pedagogical skills into practice
