Chicken

The area we use for raising chickens spans half a hectare. We have enclosed it with a fence and divided it into small pens designated for sleeping and egg-laying, along with separate enclosures for rearing chicks.

Regarding their diet, we do not use processed feed. Instead, we purchase maize and prepare our own blend, which is of superior quality and very healthy for our birds. The feed mixture we provide consists of:

1. Whole maize flour

2. Moringa seeds

3. Leucaena leaves

By combining these ingredients, we create a nutritious feed for our chickens.

Medicine

In terms of treatment, we frequently use herbal remedies. We incorporate plants such as Aloe vera and green onions, administering these once a week. Additionally, we place great emphasis on vaccination and make every effort to vaccinate our chickens regularly against common diseases. We also ensure that their pens remain clean at all times, that they have constant access to fresh water, and that their water containers are regularly refreshed.
