CAMEL RIDING

You get a view from high above as soon as you sit on Emil (the male camel on the farm). At nearly 2 meters tall, you sit quite high up and have a great view while riding across the farm.
Emil is about 4,5 years old and is trained almost daily to carry people on his back. For example, the children who attend the Day Care Center have the opportunity to ride Emil once a week, and they always enjoy the experience. It’s not just the children who have fun—Emil also carries them proudly, always holding his head high.
Guests, visitors, and customers can also experience this riding adventure when they visit the farm, as camel riding is offered Monday through Sunday, both in the mornings and afternoons.
“Riding a camel is truly something completely different from sitting on a horse. Since a camel has longer legs and moves differently, you have to get used to it, especially if you’ve never done it before. When you want to get on, Emil first kneels down on the ground. The process of standing up and kneeling back down is always quite an adventure, but the more you do it, the more familiar it becomes. Currently, Emil is also being trained to allow riders to mount using a ladder, so he won’t have to kneel down every time.”
