New volunteers

Next week, three new volunteers are arriving at the farm. Additionally, a family from Kenya will be staying with us for a month to learn Swahili. We are really looking forward to welcoming them! That's why we are currently very busy preparing everything so that they feel comfortable and at home with us:

• Checking the rooms to make sure everything is in place, and buying any necessary supplies

• Repairing broken items

• Inspecting, cleaning, and, if necessary, repairing the showers and toilets

• etc.

During their first week, the volunteers will receive an introduction to Tanzanian culture and lifestyle (which is quite different from the European one) and how to get along well here. After that, they will work across all areas of the farm for a period of time to understand how everything operates and to find a suitable role for themselves. Then, they will write their own job description for their placement.
